SHAH ALAM- With reference to the press reports in The Star Metro dated 10/4/2009 and China Press dated 1/4/2009 on the issue of an MPSJ councilor “taking money” from a developer, the councilor involved has been requested to take leave of absence pending investigation by the party’s Disciplinary Committee.

The party views allegations of corruption against any of our elected and appointed officials very seriously and will take all necessary actions should anybody be found guilty of such. We will protect and uphold our principles of competency, accountability and transparency.

The councilor would resume his duty if he is cleared by the Disciplinary Committee.
