SHAH ALAM: The Selangor State Government under the Pakatan Rakyat is disappointed with certain parties who attempt to gain cheap publicity by implicating the Selangor Royalty with the issue relating to the donation of sacrificial cows.

There is no justification in involving the palace as this issue has been referred to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MAAC), which should be allowed to conduct its investigations without being influenced by anyone. GERAK and its henchmen are also insincere in championing this issue by linking it with the DYMM the Sultan of Selangor and seem to have made statements on behalf of His Highness.

The State Government also advises and calls for the Selangor Opposition Leader to be more professional besides ensuring clear facts when making allegations. As the Opposition Leader there are outlets such as the State Legislative Assembly which will be sitting in March. Therefore, he should use that channel as it is the best way to make such statements.
