KUALA SELANGOR, Mar 19 – Elizabeth Wong’s status as a State Executive Council (Exco) member which has yet to be decided upon will only be finalised after her meeting with Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

The Dato’ Menteri Besar said he would be meeting with Elizabeth this weekend.

“I will be meeting with her on Saturday or Sunday, but I do not want to discuss (here) what it is we will be talking about,” he said when met by reporters after the Konvoi Kembara Rakyat at the Kuala Selangor Indoor Stadium in conjunction with the one-year administration of the Pakatan Rakyat government.

Abdul Khalid said he needed to discuss the issue with Elizabeth even though he had yet to receive updates from the police relating to their investigations.

“Our discussions will focus on her future with us, her needs and the state (government’s),” he said.

He however refused to comment on whether the discussions would also touch on Elizabeth’s status as Bukit Lanjan State Assemblywoman  (Adun).

“I do not want to make speculations relating to the discussion,” he said.

He said any decisions relating to Elizabeth’s status would be decided by him and the other Exco members.

Elizabeth who has been on one month leave since her semi-nude photographs were distributed on the Internet, had planned to meet Abdul Khalid on March 16 after her leave ended.

However, Abdul Khalid suggested the meeting be held this weekend as he had been busy with the state legislative assembly meeting last week. -  NOOR ALLIA KASSIM
