Taman Templer State Assemblyman Given Warning
Mar 16th, 2009 | By nizam | Category: NewsSHAH ALAM, Mar 16 – The Selangor State Legislative Assembly (Dun) which resumed this morning became slightly heated when Taman Templer State Assemblyman (Adun), Dato’ Subahan Kamal was warned that he would be ordered to leave the sitting by Speaker, Teng Chang Khim for his long-windedness during the Question and Answer session.
Teng reminded Subahan not to repeatedly ask questions which took more than three minutes when asking about the use of community halls to the Chairman for Permanent Committee on Study, Research and Local Government, Ronnie Liu who is also Adun for Pandamaran.
“Don’t play the fool with me, I would not want you to be the first person ever that I order to leave, I’m serious,” he said.
Subahan then apologised several times and explained that he was confused as he had remembered an allegation by Bukit Antarabangsa Adun Azmin Ali who had claimed the Speaker held his meetings under a tree.
This however angered Teng who then reminded him to ask for a proper explanation from the Exco involved, and not wast time by asking repetitive questions.– MURIZA ABDUL HAMID
