SHAH ALAM, Mar 14 – The declaration of properties and assets belonging to the Selangor State Executive Council (Exco) members can be accessed at the state government’s official website by Monday or Tuesday, said Selangor Dato’ Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
 
He said, members of the public may have had problems viewing these lists due to too many declaration forms being downloaded.

“May be by Monday or Tuesday we will be able to see more updated data and see the comments from members of the public,” he said commenting on the difficulties in accessing such information on the website.

In a related development, Abdul Khalid said he felt that the steps taken by the state government by declaring the list of properties and assets should be used as an example for ministers, Members of Parliament and State Assemblymen (Adun).
 
However, he said, it was up to them to do so.

“For us in Selangor we have focused first on the  Menteri Besar and Excos,” he said to the media after officiating the Whistle Stop programme in conjunction with the one year administration of the new government in Selangor at the Dataran Bangunan Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Selangor, here this morning.
 
The eight-day programme which began today will move on to Hulu Selangor and later Gombak, Hulu Langat, Sepang, Kuala Langat, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and will end in Shah Alam on Marc 21st.

Meanwhile, three buses, eight four wheel drive vehicles and a lorry escorted the Dato’ Menteri Besar and Excos to Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor to meet with the people before moving to Selayang, tomorrow. – MURIZA ABDUL HAMID
