Six out of Nine Companies Made Profits
Mar 12th, 2009 | By nizam | Category: NewsSHAH ALAM, Mar 12 – The Selangor Dato’ Menteri Besar said six out of nine companies under the Menteri Besar Inc (MB Inc) recorded profits based on unaudited financial statements for the financial year of 2008.
He said, the six companies were Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB) with profits of RM27.8 million, Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) RM19.2 million and Selangor State Investment Centre (SSIC) Berhad RM1.1 million.
“Pendidikan Industri Yayasan Selangor Berhad recorded profits of RM6.1 million, MSNS Holdings Sdn Bhd (RM246,654) while Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd recorded profits of RM2.5 million,” he said in reply to Haniza Mohamed Talha (PKR-Taman Medan) at the State Legislative Assembly (Dun) meeting here this morning.
He said, out of the nine companies, three had recorded losses.
“Based on unaudited financial statements, the three other companies recorded losses, which were Rantaian Mesra Sdn Bhd (RM151,240), Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd (RM35,038) and Bukit Beruntung Golf & Country Resort Bhd (RM186,219),” he said.
Abdul Khalid said, even though not many companies under MB Inc had suffered losses, the Board of Directors would have to reconsider whether or not to continue operating if this went on for three years. – MURIZA ABDUL HAMID
