PNSB Account Records Investigated
Feb 23rd, 2009 | By nizam | Category: NewsSHAH ALAM, February 23 – Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) Chief Executive Datin Khairiyah Abu Hassan and Financial Manager, Nora Azmin Radzuan, have been given 30 days paid leave to facilitate investigations on regarding the account records of the state government’s subsidiary company.
The Menteri Besar’s office in a statement today said that Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim as chairman of Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated, had identified several weaknesses and irregularities in the way the records were maintained.
“Among these include documents given to Internal Revenue Board as well as the purchase and sale of properties in Mecca between 2006 and 2007.”
Therefore, the two have been instructed to take leave to enable the auditing and updating of accounts, as decided by the PNSB Board of Directors today.
The statement added that the decision was proof of the state government’s seriousness in monitoring and supervising accountability and transparency in its administration which included all agencies and statutory bodies, local authorities (PBT) and all organisations related to the state government. – NOOR ALLIA KASSIM
