AMK Selangor Confident in Abdul Khalid’s Leadership
Feb 20th, 2009 | By nizam | Category: NewsSHAH ALAM, February 20 – Selangor Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) is confident with the transparency of the state government leadership under the Dato’ Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
Information Chief, Mazli Saring said the statement regarding the issue of his car and cows were malicious and aimed at shaking the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) government in Selangor Selangor.
Mazli in a statement today also urged the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) under its Chief Commissioner, Datuk Ahmad Said Hamdan, not to be a ‘bullock cart’ for the Umno-Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
He was referring to a statement by Ahmad Said which was reported in several online news portals today which claimed that Abdul Khalid would be charged for abusing his powers in the purchase of cows for slaughter and maintenance of his car.
The report also claimed that there was strong evidence on the allegations and that investigation papers would be referred to the Attorney General’s Office.
“The Selangor AMK is also of the view that the cows and personal car issue played up by the media through Khir Toyo and Gerak Chairman, Mohd Nazree Mohd Yunus, is merely an evil trap and dirty political attack by Umno-BN as part of their strategy against the PR government under Abdul Khalid’s leadership,” he said.
He said, the Selangor AMK would continue to defend and stand behind Abdul Khalids leadership as well as his decision to sue the former Menteri Besar.
He said, Selangor AMK also hoped the courts would be fair in clearing the Dato’ Menteri Besar such slanderous political games.
