KeADILan Women’s Chief Condemns Smear Tactics Against Representative

State Executive Council’s Member (Exco) Selangor, Elizabeth Wong, to face justice.
Zuraidah said the malicious actions by certain parties were degrading and a violation of women’s fundamental rights.
“Keadilan Women condemn these base, dirty actions targeted at smearing the good name of women or male representatives from any group or political parties for no reason,” she said in a statement.
She said such irresponsible actions were a form of sexual harassment which could be taken to court.
She said, the actions of kingmakers who purposely created petty issues intended to detour the attention of representatives from caring for the interests of the people.
Zuraidah explained, the dirty tactics against Elizabeth were malicious and caused further confusion in the country’s political scene which faced economic, social and political crises.
“Representatives should focus on issues gripping the people such as land ownership, disappointing housing issues, high cost of living, increasing poverty and a thousand and one other problems,” she said.
Zuraidah said the violation of fundamental rights and privacy of a politician or any individual was not the custom and practice of a noble and virtuous society.
Therefore, she urged the people to unite in condemning this evil and shameful act. – NOOR ALLIA KASSIM
